Young musicians performing advanced repertoire that will challenge and inspire

Fall Concert Dances & Dreams
Abilene Youth Orchestra – Fall Auditions
The Abilene Youth Orchestra (AYO) is a full symphony youth orchestra that provides a unique opportunity for talented young musicians in the Big Country to perform advanced repertoire that will challenge and inspire.
The AYO exists for the benefit of young musicians, responds to their needs, and keeps their interest in music education paramount.
Abilene Youth Strings- Fall Auditions
To bridge the gap between our awesome Mission: Strings programs and the Abilene Youth Orchestra, we are offering a new class for string players ready for a new challenge, but not quite ready for the demands of the advanced AYO repertoire. This class will be taught by McKenzie Rangel who has many years of string education experience! This high energy class will be by audition only, and will help students improve string technique, music literacy, and more advanced sightreading skills.

Anyone in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade who would like to learn how to play an orchestral string instrument (violin, viola, cello, or bass).
